The resort looks really nice and is situated next to the beach. The garden is fabuleous.
The room is far too small for the rate. If you pay that price, you expect more.
I just love the decor of the Hotel and how each room is different. The garden is beautiful & well maintained. The location is great, right on the beach and enjoyed my breakfast looking out to the sea. Also really nice to be able to bike ride on the beach or to go into town. The staff was very friendly & helpful. I really didn't want to leave. I will definately be back, maybe next time on my Honeymoon !
The breakfast was good. The location on the beach was good. The bed was comfortable and the grounds are lovely.
The walls in my room felt crumbly. The women at the front desk were friendly but not very knowledgable about where to go and how to get there. The dinner food wasn't so good and it was overpriced. This isn't the best place to stay as a single traveler as there were not other single travelers and the other guests were a bit snobby.
The rate charged did not match other hotels in the same location for comparable facitilites /service.
Lovely staff and surroundings. Grounds were well maintained and well kept. Location in Sanur itself couldnt be more well located.
Found extra unwelcome insects during our stay, not sure if this was just us or there is a problem in general. The staff did move us to another room however same problem.
The beach and the character of the place.
My main annoyance was the inflated exchange rate they unilaterally demanded. I had booked in usd at booking com a few weeks before and the dollar hadn't fallen drastically since then. But when I got there they told me I would be paying in Rupiah at a rate that made no attempt to approximate current bank rates (or even those given on the street). It ended up raising the price of the room by a few dollars a night. Resort hotels normally do tend to overcharge you for services in different ways, and you can't let it bother you too much while you're there. But this was a little rip-off you couldn't opt out of and it seemed particularly glaring. Basically we had a good experience, but see if you can book in rupiah.
Charming hotel, excellent location, lovely people, nice terrace, beautiful view, great pool
The hotelmanager raised the rate of our room during our stay, we thought that was a bit rude, it did not give a very welcome feel, especially not because we stayed 2 weeks! The prices are European. The restaurant is charming but unfortunatelly the food was not good. The breakfast is limited and poor of quality ( unripe fruit, old tea, dry bread with cheap jams ) We considered to come back in the future but we're not sure.
only the view from the restaurant is perfect
No room availible for the price 115 USD.!!! You could think a mistake or accident but the same happened to a france couple. Used another room that we booked. We have to pay 140USD+10%+11%. If you are tired you do that. Breakfast very very poor coffee from the day before and only a omplet with toast.
The relaxed atmosphere, the good location near the beach, friendly people. The hotel is nice and we would come again but don't expect too much, then you will like it. It is also good for families we think.
The breakfast is okay but a bit minimal. Eating lunch or dinner in the restaurant is pretty bad, only the pizza we liked, the indonesian food was not good and for Sanur it was expensive. I am sorry to say because the looks of the restaurant are among the best of sanur's beach. Isola is a pretty place, but empty so they should change something in the kitchen and on the pricelist.
the service and the relaxation
the rooms were small and the bathrooms dirty
Good location on the beach, nice swimming pool and gardens. A charming restaurant with good service. Cosy room with an own terrace.
When we arrived late at night we were given a room that was a disappointment (dark, not very clean and had cockroaches). We complained and got a better room, which we enjoyed. The bathrooms are worn out.
The hotel is excellently situated in Sanur village, there are several shops and restaurants nearby. Hotel facilities are nice, and its location on the beach is superb view greatest view to the sea ever! The rooms are stylish in a special rustic way. The rooms are spacious and the private terraces are nice (hot though as there is no aircon). Aircon in the rooms worked really well and was really quiet. The mosquito net around the bed made the room look really romantic. Staff is very friendly and will accommodate all your needs.
The rooms are quite dark, which can be good as well, but after staying few days I felt I would have wanted more light indoors. Also, some people can be put off by the smell of 'barn' in the bathroom as walls and floor are made of concrete. As the cottages have strawlike roofs, the smell of straw got stuck to all clothes.
Breakfast is good
Not having in our room kettle with coffee or tea, prices very high for drinks in the mini bar. The food for dinner was not good and high prices Wc and shower are not separate
Excellent location - stroll to the main street and direct access to the beach. Breakfast was an American breakfast but the banana pancakes were delicious. Room was quirky and quiet. Having a safe in the room for personal security was important. Landscaped gardens were pleasant enough to stroll through from street to beach.
Hotel is a bit dated but adequate including the pool. Front door was only secured with a big padlock which because of the design of the door was still able to be pushed open. The bathroom had a foul smell coming from the drains so dont think the plumbing was good:( No television in rooms - had to share the one in the open air lobby - no good if you have kids!!
Good place at the beach of sanur, hotel and restaurant nice, town and beach not special
